A Clare All Ireland winning hurler is backing calls for people to lend their support to the Diocesan Missions.
1,500 Irish born missionaries are serving in over 80 countries across
the globe, many of them from Clare, and this weekend sees the annual
Killaloe Diocesan Mission Sunday Appeal.
Among those urging Clare's mass-goers to contribute to the appeal is Clonlara's John Conlon, who starred for Davy Fitzgerald's panel throughout the All-Ireland Championship.
He's urging people to give what they can to help those in need, despite difficult economic times at home.
