Catholic church paint bombed

Catholic church paint bombedPaint was thrown at St. Malachy's Church in Alfred Street in the city centre sometime between 7:00am and 7:30am on Friday morning.

Belfast's Deputy Lord Mayor Alderman Christopher Stalford has condemned the attack: "This is one of the oldest Catholic churches in our city and as a place of worship should be treated with respect.

"I absolutely condemn this mindless vandalism and would urge anyone with information about those responsible to pass it on to the police" he said.
