It’s now official: His Holiness Pope Francis will be present on both days of the Pilgrimage of the Families for the Year of Faith, which will be held in Rome on 26 and 27 October 2013.
The Pope, who has devoted two paragraphs of his encyclical to the family,
will be with the pilgrims in St. Peter's Square at the end of the
afternoon on Saturday the 26th and preside over the Holy Mass on Sunday
the 27th.
We joyfully welcome this news and invite those who
had not yet registered to do so, on our website, while recalling and
stressing that the registration is free.
Saturday, October
26th, families from around the World will walk side by side in the joy
of faith, sharing stories and experiences of family life.
It will
therefore be important to participate in the march that will go from
Piazza del Popolo (the gathering will start at 12:00) to St. Peter’s
Square.
Only those who participate in the march will be guaranteed a
reserved place in the first sections in St. Peter's Square for the
meeting with the Holy Father.
