Bikers gather for annual Mass

http://s3.amazonaws.com/imr-us/irishcatholic/images/2013/05/S33520-xlimage-R454-bikers-gather-for-annual-mass.jpgThe Sacred Heart Church in Clones, Co. Monaghan was the venue for the 11th annual Mass for bikers on May 10.

With more than 600 bikes parked around the church, a capacity congregation in excess of 1,500 bikers, families and friends joined Fr John Kearns, Fr Dermot Prior and Rev Helene Steed (pictured with the event’s organisers) in remembering those bikers who have passed in the last year and all for whom two wheels are a favoured mode of transport.

Music for the event was performed by The Perfect Note as candles were lit in memory of deceased friends.
