Pope Benedict XVI will resign at the end of the month, a Vatican
spokesman said Monday, according to news reports. The Vatican gave no immediate details for the decision by the 85-year-old pontiff to step down.
France 24 reported that the spokesman said the pope would step down on Feb. 28.
