Birmingham Catholics receive a ‘Call to Action’

An Invitation has been extended to all the laity of Birmingham Archdiocese to a meeting on Sunday 9 December from 3pm to 5pm in MANRESA House (Address: 10 Albert Road, Harborne, Birmingham B17 0AN).

The organisers state: “Groups of priests around the world are calling for action. We are lay Catholics who share their concerns.
We love Christ’s church and are anxious about its future. Still inspired by the Second Vatican Council we want to contribute fully to the life of our church, so that we may be a more effective sign of the kingdom of God. To do this end we believe that an atmosphere of openness and dialogue both with each other, with our priests and with our bishops needs developing. We hope to create a climate of trust and respect for all, where this dialogue may be fostered.”
