Christian advert generates complaints

A poster saying "There definitely is a God" was one of the most provocative adverts in the UK, according to a complaints "all-time top ten" received by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

1,204 complaints were made to the ASA about the advert that was run by The Christian Party in 2009, ranking it fourth in the Authority's history.
A rival campaign by the British Humanist Association generated only 391 complaints.

A British Safety Council advert for condoms, which used an image of Pope John Paul II, was fifth with 1,192.

A 2012 advert for pregnancy and abortion advisory clinic Marie Stopes International came sixth with 1, 088 complaints.
