Christian Vision for Men is continuing to encourage men to live to a different standard by following its 12-point code.
The code, which echoes the Ten Commandments, was launched in July this year and will be further promoted at the organisation’s forthcoming Codelife conference at Exeter University on October 15.
CVM wants to see the code transform men’s lives and wider society as it challenges them to put Jesus and others first, look after their health, and protect God’s world.
Conference organiser Mark Jones said the set of rules would help men to “stay gripped and focussed on living a full-on, uncompromised Jesus-centred life, in company with others”.
“We think this code can help change aspects of male culture which are so damaging to society, such as domestic violence and addictions,” he said.
“The male Christian community in the West Country needs to come together in real awareness of its strength and responsibility to set new standards of conduct and witness to the transforming love of God.”
Speakers at the conference include CVM’s Carl Beech, Peter Grant and David Coffey.
Jones added: “It promises to be another day of challenge, inspiration and laughter.”
