Bishop Freeman has announced the changes to the Diocesan Appointments.
The full list of appointments is:
- Very Rev. Seamus Canon Henry, P.P., Freshford to retire and reside in Freshford.
- Very Rev. Patrick Comerford, P.P., Slieverue, appointed P.P. Freshford.
- Rev. Thomas Corcoran, C.C., Castlecomer, appointed P.P. Slieverue.
- Rev. Joseph Campion, SAC., C.C., Freshford, appointed C.C. Castlecomer.
The above appointments are effective from the week-end of 16th July 2011
- Very Rev. Laurence Canon Dunphy, P.P., Urlingford to retire and reside in Urlingford.
- Very Rev. Oliver Maher, Adm., St. Mary’s Cathedral, appointed P.P. Urlingford.
- Rt. Rev. Mgr. Kieron Kennedy, President, St. Kieran’s College, appointed Adm., St. Mary’s Cathedral. Until such time as a new President of St. Kieran’s College is appointed, the duties of President will be fulfilled by the Trustees. Mgr. Kennedy will continue as Administrator during this interim period.
The above appointments are effective from the week-end of the 16th October 2011.
- Rev. Mark Condon, C.C., St. Mary’s Cathedral, will continue his formation at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, for the academic year 2011-2012. He will continue to serve the faithful in St. Mary’s Cathedral at week-ends.
The above appointment is effective from 1st September 2011.
