Church abuse foundation deals with 241 complaints

In total, 241 of the 1,800 people to contact the church foundation set up to help victims of sexual and physical abuse by Netherland Catholic church officials, have made a formal complaint.

Wednesday was the last day for registration.

No legal action can be taken in most cases because the alleged abuse took place too long ago.

Just 10 complaints focus on abuse which is said to have taken place since 1990.

Details of the complaints will be passed on to the government commission which is investigating the scandal.
