Reformed Gangster Addresses Kerry Mission

A former East End London gangster who became a feature of a real life documentary is to address a number of missions been run in County Kerry in the coming weeks.

John Pridmore (pictured) will address missions in Saint Peter and Paul's Church in Ballyduff and Saint John's church in Causeway in the coming weeks.

The Ballyduff mission will conclude on September 10 while the Causeway mission will run from September 13 to 17.

Pridmore grew up in London's East End and when he was ten his parents divorced.

At just 15 years of age, he ended up in a juvenile detention centre for young offenders - as he claims that the only occupation that he knew was stealing.

However, this period of incarceration did not deter him from a life of crime and he became very well acquainted with London's drug crime underworld.

He later reformed and wrote a true crime biography while in prison.

He currently lives in Ireland and over the past 10 years has spoken to over one million people in Europe and America to tell his amazing story.
