Over 100 abuse complaints made against youth services

The committee investigating child abuse in orphanages, care homes, foster homes and other institutions for young people has had more than 100 complaints so far, Trouw reports on Thursday.

The committee was set up in the wake of the scandal over sexual abuse within the Catholic church after reports of abuse in government institutions began to surface.

It was then decided to carry out a parallel investigation in the abuse of children in the care of the state.
