Bulgarian PM expresses gratitude to late Pope John Paul II for giving church for BOC services

With this plaque Bulgaria expresses its gratitude to late Pope John Paul II for giving Santi Vincenzo e Anastasio a Trevi for services of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church (BOC), Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said during his one-day visit to Rome, the government’s press service announced.

While visiting the Italian capital, PM Borisov unveiled officially plaques of grateful acknowledgement in Santi Vincenzo e Anastasio a Trevi and Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore.

As a sign of acknowledgement and gratitude, the Bulgarian community in Italy elected the prime minister an honourable member of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church board in Rome.
