Barnett pleads not guilty to two abuse charges

Former priest Charles Alfred Barnett, who was extradited from Indonesia over sexual abuse charges, pleaded not guilty in the South Australian District Court to two counts each of unlawful sexual intercourse and indecent assault.

The alleged victims were boys aged between 11 and 16 at the time of the offences, which date back to 1979, the court heard.

Barnett, 68, has been ordered to reappear in court in December.
