Ex-stripper says priest fathered her baby

A former Miami stripper has filed a restraining order against a Roman Catholic priest, claiming he assaulted her during a fight about support for their child.

Beatrice Hernandez accused the Rev. David Dueppen of trying to choke her, The Miami Herald reports. She said Dueppen is the father of her baby daughter, Marilyn Epiphany Hernandez.

"He is the devil," she said Friday. "He is the devil dressed as an angel."

Three years ago, Hernandez received a settlement from the Miami Archdiocese after Dueppen admitted having an affair with her. She said he got back in touch with her a year ago, which was when the child was conceived.

Dueppen is on leave as an associate pastor at a church in Pembroke Pines.

In May, the Rev. Alberto Cutie, a priest known for his television appearances, admitted having an affair and married his lover. Cutie and Dueppen once served at the same Miami Beach church.

Dueppen refused to talk to a reporter Friday, saying only that Hernandez's story would have "a lot of inaccuracies."
