Irish Scientology - Request - Please Read

Dear Irish Catholic priests!

Christ is risen!

I have meaning to write you for a while to thank you for your extraordinary report on the Brussels Scientology case .

I decided to write today because yet again it has been cited on the Anonymous forum Why We Protest now that the Belgium case is heating up.

Your report got cited again in our thread on the case:

I am glad to see you have written much about Scientology. I am a former Jesuit( and proud Irish American) in San Francisco who got into the Anonymous fight against Scientology a year ago. I found many things appalling, but the most appalling of all are the coerced abortions that are demanded of every women in the Sea Org. I vowed my work would be to rally the churches, who outside Germany, are somnolent. Some of us Catholic and Evangelical anons are working on this front.

I have written extensively on my secular blog For Great Justice and religious blog Light in the Darkness .

Here are some updates and commentary:

1. Belgium case: An important point is made my Larry Brennan. On September 4 last year, the Scientology Working Group of the Ministry of Interior of Hamburg held a conference called: This is Scientology - Reports from America. Four of the most prominent critics of Scientology spoke, including Brennan. The government also recognized Anonès importance by formally and officially inviting them to the conference. It was quite "lulzy" as we say in Anon. The top scilons flew in, tried to stop it in court, and harrassed the speakers with their OSA secret agents. They got "pwned"as we say.

But the significant thing is that the SWG invited government officials from Europe and the US, including Belgium. At that time Belgium had decided not to prosecute the case. Brennan thinks that the conference and contacts contributed to their changing their minds.

2. Canada - there is extraordinary news that has not been reported outside the francophone media in Quebec, Anonymous Quebec, or my blogs. Cardinal Ouellet, who is the primate, spoke out against Scientology twice in February and the second time he defended Anon's right to free speech. Anon Quebec wrote to the Cardinal and suggested a 12-point program of education and action for the Church.

3. Canada - Concordia University in Montreal is the merger of a Jesuit and an Evangelical institution. The university rented space to the Scientology anti-psychiatry group CCHD known in anglophone world as CCHR, notorious for touring their Psychiatry: Industry of Death exhibit. Anon protested and issued a press release. Concordia students joined. There is a Catholic nun on the Board, Sr. Francoise Boisvert who is the Director General of Marianopolis College. Since she was the oniy Catholic I could identify for certain, I wrote her and Cardinals Ouellet and Turcotte. Anons from around the world are now busy "harpooning" i.e. writing emails, to the Board of Governors.

4. Coerced abortion - About three weeks ago it was revealed that Republican pro-life icon Gov. Sarah Palin, who ran for Vice President against Hillary Clinton, was being advised by John P. Coale, a wealthy Democratic trial lawyer, OTVIII Scientologist, and anti-psych warrior. His wife is Scientologist Greta van Susteren, a prime time commentator on Fox News which is the channel most on the center-right here watch. The three other prime time figures are all pro-life: Sean Hannity, Bill OReilly (Irish American Catholics), and Glenn Beck (Mormon).

No one has yet connected the dots and realized, as we have in Anon, that this is a scandal. She is one degree of separation from David Miscavige and his coerced abortions in Sea Org. The left has excoriated Palin, but they have not picked up on this or the other human rights abuses. There line has been "What will Evangelicals think about her palling around with the Church of Space Aliens? I have been working on an article, and got side-tracked by the Concordia affair, in which coerced abortion is significant because it is abusive of women, and for us in addition, because it is abortion.

I have come to the conclusion that coerced abortion is the issue that can bring down the Miscavige regime. If we make it widely known in the Church, pro-life activists will come forward to help.

Cardinal Ouellet remarks, are a green light to Catholic bishops, and above, all Catholic laity to get active.

After all, there are already Catholics involved, including Irish (probably lapsed ) Catholics in Ireland.

I would dearly love to be in touch with any of the whisperers so I hope I will be hearing back from you. I am older than the average anon.

Project Chanology has drawn in thousands of us older folks. I am hugely proud of the young anons.

Project Chanology is the greatest achievement of the milllennial generation - the first international free speech and human rights movement to spring out of nowhere on the internet and take on a most vicious opponent armed with nothing but Guy Fawkes masks, the internet, hilarity, and ingenuity.

Everything that is now happening, including I am convinced Cardinal Ouellet's remarks, is happening because in one year Anon has opened up a huge public space for Scientology criticism and exposure.

I am proud to work with them.
