My dear bloggies, the times are indeed a'changing here in CW.Such has been the interest and growing fan base, with an influx of comments, contributions, articles and other information that for the last year or so, that the time came for a decision to be made.
Should CW continue and if so, how could this be managed?
If not, should it be slowly wound down and removed from the Blogosphere?
Well, after many months of pondering and soul searching, it was decided that CW should remain active and continue as before but perhaps with more active roles in areas such as awareness of CSA, clerical fiscal advice and other issues which would open CW to the laity like never before with the establishment of CWI.
As you can see here alongside, Ireland has been divided into the 4 provinces that form this island nation and thereupon are the numbers of the designated CW priest who will submit, research and post the article they shall then have published on here.
Henceforth, with the publishing of the each posting, you will now see the name SV and then the symbol ( ) in which shall be contained a number referring to that actual article so as to identify the contributing source.
For international articles, I shall, as editor take responsibilty for those articles and you will see the following to indicate such articles - SV(ED).
In relation to the investigation of articles and submissions to us here, we have been overwhelmed by such and at present, I as editor will continue to oversee this information pending investigation and then transfer to legal representative for further action.
In relation to CW Aid Appeal, we have gone from strength to strength with the donations still coming in on a weekly basis.
We have now managed to get designated persons in many countries who will take the contributions and forward them to an assigned parish / diocese in a poorer area of the developing world and help them build up their local churches.
There are some out there who have promised us donations and we ask them to get in touch again with us to follow through on their contributions to ensure they reached their desired destination.
For the moment, that is an outline and update on CW and we ask that you still continue to contribute as per usual, and contrary to the opinions of some on here, we do publish ALL comments that we receive to this site.
To each and all of you, from each and all of us here,
God Bless,
SV (ED)(1)(2)(3)(4)

Thank God this site will continue.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a major tragedy for such a good source of information on the Church to disappear.
I think those who find it check back every day for updates. You have got us hooked and we don't want to miss anything!
That is the best compliment to you the Editor who started it all. You are offering an invaluable source of information to us all and should be endlessly congratulated for that.
Anyone could see how the site has grown and grown and would be a full time job for just one person and you have your Priestly work to do as well so it is good to read that you now have 3 other Priests joining you so that you can divide out the workload.
I know you have never looked for personal donations etc., but all this work, the upkeep of the site and the hours put in should be compensated for in some way by those who visit the site often.
These donations could be used next time you are "ON A BREAK" - after all the hard work you would deserve the break to the sun.
Maybe you can think about that at some point and add a link that donations can be made. I did see the Paypal one but it was there for such a short time I did not get to use it.
Again thanks for everything and for all the hard work and we are all relieved that the site will carry on.
