Archbishop has young ministry hope for pilgrims

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin has invited over 200 young people who are setting out to join Pope Benedict at World Youth Day in Sydney to take this as a privileged opportunity to renew their commitment to the life of the Church.

The Archbishop said he hoped that on their return they would look at establishing a new ministry of young people to young people, sharing with their contemporaries "the special richness that faith and their prayer bring to their lives".

Yesterday, 97 young pilgrims from the Diocese of Ferns headed for Australia to celebrate their Catholic Faith with hundreds of thousands of young Catholics from around the world.
