Greek metropolitan bishop calls Pope ‘heretic’

A letter sent by a Greek metropolitan bishop is expected to cause problems between the Orthodox and Catholic Church, the Greek radio station Skai reports.

The Metropolitan Bishop of Pirea Seraphim has sent a letter to the Head of the instance of the Roman Catholic Church in Greece Francisko, where he calls the Pope a ‘heretic’ and points out that only the Orthodox Church is the continuation of the first inseparable Christian faith.

Meanwhile he calls the Roman Catholic Church a religious community.
