Catholics dying for Vatican Library endorsed coffins

The Vatican Library has endorsed its own line of burial caskets and urns for sale through a US company called Eternal Image.

In late 2004, the Vatican started negotiations with the company to incorporate images from its collection on the company's urns.

The first Vatican-licensed caskets will be available later this year.

One urn that stands 50 centimetres tall, capped with a cross, is said to dwarf standard urns.

The Library will earn a commission from sales.
