Monks Using MySpace For Recruiting

The monks are going high-tech.

The Marist Brothers are turning to MySpace and Facebook to find new recruits.

The Marist Brothers run St. Joseph Academy in Brownsville, Texas, and are part of a small international order of Catholic teaching brothers.

Brother John Klein, who heads the U.S. congregation, says he often asks himself, "Where did Jesus go?"

He says Jesus went to the people and today the people are on MySpace.

Klein tells the Brownsville Herald the Internet outreach efforts are still in the early stages.

But he says initial response has been positive.
